Mondays and Freckles!

We had a great weekend as usual. The worst things about having great weekends are Sunday nights!Mehmet left couple of hours ago , we just talked on the phone about how great was the weekend and how hard will it be to wake up early tomorrow morning and go to work...He has found some great photos of a young Turkish actor and e-mailed them to me for cheering me up (and soon you'll see those photos in a post) and in return i found these gorgeous photos of one of our favorite football player Fernando Torres. So this post is for Mehmet...we're gonna survive this monday with the help of Fernando and his cute freckles :) Love you so much.

 

Back!

I'm back!That means we're back!I was very clear of something before the trip and after the trip it was verified one more time in my mind : I can't live without Mehmet and i can't live away from Istanbul. And i miss you guys too! thanks for your comments and your e-mails. And a very special thank to J.T. He is the director of great short movie Masturbation : Putting the Fun into Self-Loving. Just before i left for the trip i got his package in my mailbox that includes four DVDs of his brilliant movies. Those movies really put fun into my dull business trip. You'll hear more about him soon at Casual in Istanbul...OK , we're back and fully functional again :)

Hey Guys , as you may have noticed ; "The iPhone Post" was on the top of Casual in Istanbul for a week! No new posts or anything!We are sorry for the lack of posts. Here is the thing...this monday i began working in a real job again after a couple of months.Waking up early again and trying to adjust myself to a new job is a hard stuff. Mehmet is extremely busy with his business too. So we kinda neglected our very own baby ;)I am leaving for a business trip for 5 days today , i'll have my laptop computer with me but i'm not sure if i can post!?But be sure that we'll be back with tons of goodies when i get back...So please stay tuned...

Ajda!

Ajda Pekkan (born February 12 1946 ,Istanbul)the diva of Turkey. Through an illustrious career spanning five decades thusfar, Ajda has released over 20 albums, represented Turkey at the Eurovision song contest and had a profound impact on popular culture. She is nicknamed "Superstar".
Our dads were her huge fans in their early 20s , we were huge fans in our early 20s...well both dads and us are still huge fans of her. Actually 80 percent of Turkish population are huge fans. She is the diva , she has the looks , the voice and style.She has been singing professionally since 1962 and she still tours around Turkey and Europe with many sold-out concerts. Her discography features many number one songs in 8 languages, and her albums and singles sell more than 10 million copied in 14 countries.

She is stylish , classy and chic. She never afraid to tell people about her plastic surgeries , her relationships. Her looks is not only the result of her countless plastic surgeries.There are lots of women around over 60 with tons of makeovers but none of them looks like her. She is young at heart and mind. We all grew up with her songs and still enjoying all of her songs.Oh and one more thing...if you know a Turkish guy who is extremely obsessed with her : he is probably gay!

New Year Present

It has always been a challenge for me to find "the perfect present" for Mehmet for his birthday and for New Year! Every year in September and December i make a lot of hard thinking to find out what should i give him as a gift?!It's challenging because we both don't like to give ordinary presents to each other like a sweater , a book , a dvd or something like that. It should be something special. He is always good at timing and i'm not! Generally the perfect idea occurs to me in last minute so i'm always late...like this year. I wasn't so happy with the present i gave him for his birthday. It was not special. So i made a lot of thinking for new year and came up with a great idea! Well some of you already know what it is (and some of you are my partners in crime ;)But i'm really thrilled with the idea!I'm pretty sure that i'll get a "WOW" response from him this year and i can't wait to see that :)
Just like in the Mastercard commercials ; it's priceless...and you know what else is priceless too?? Enjoying this :
